Qiankai is Binge Fringe's resident event photographer, showing up to all kinds of exciting and interesting things happening at Fringe Festivals around the world to capture moments of human connection and bursting creative joy. Originally from China, he now lives in Dundee. His favourite drink is some kind of obscure Belgian Witbier that you've probably never heard of.

Attendees hung out in a beautifully repurposed mixed-use bar/box office/lounge area in the Keiller Centre which will be open throughout the Festival.

JD Henshaw and Heather-Rose Andrews debuted their exciting new venue spaces with a peak behind the curtain for attendees.

Attendees mingled in the halls of the Shopping Centre, with game-themed coffee shop Cake or Dice offering refreshments.

JD Henshaw led a raucous and energising opening speech that praised the work of the performers, staff, and host venue the Keiller Centre.

Bubbleologist Poppy Bubbles blew some incredible bubbles for the Binge Fringe camera.

Poppy Bubbles entertained attendees of all ages with bubbles and laughs in equal measure.

Fever Peach posed with their poster just after their first show.

Fever Peach Guitarist Andy Bullick was asked to sign the band’s poster after the performance, in what will become a tradition for all performers at the Festival.

Artistic Director JD Henshaw chatted with artists, performers, politicians, and media throughout the night to display the strong variety of the festival’s programme.

The attendees bandied together for an impromptu photo at the end of JD Henshaw’s opening speech.

Binge Fringe Lead Editor Jake Mace and Contributing Writer Moy Barron hung out in the Keiller Centre’s gallery space, displaying work on ecology and gender.

Bubbleologist Poppy Bubbles blew some incredible bubbles for the Binge Fringe camera.

Jake Mace and Heather-Rose Andrews chatted about the Keiller Centre’s shifting identity and the value of community spaces.

Attendees chatted and shared stories about their relationship to the city and the festival after the event.

Spoken Word and Music performers Fever Peach shared a wholesome moment after opening the programme with a sixty minute performance.
